"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part 2)" Review

...Well. Just what are we all going to do now?

It sounds insane, impossible even, but Harry Potter is over. Probably never coming back, even. The emotions that many are feeling over this are quite varied, but the one I am feeling the strongest right now is intimidation.

I have been putting this review off for two days. I simply cannot think of praise loud and excited enough. Is this movie great? Of course. It's brilliant - in the words of our dear friend Ron. But just how do I put that into words?

How do I describe the ease in which Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson slip into the roles?

How could I bring to words the beauty of the special effects, and the seamless way they are integrated into the scene?

Just how could I explain the brilliance of the supporting cast, in particular the beautifully tragic performance of Alan Rickman as Snape, or Ralph Fiennes as the deliciously villainous Voldemort?

Is there any way I could describe to you how phenomenally Steve Kloves (who has been with these films as long as Radcliffe, Grint, and Watson have) writes these beloved characters?

I doubt there's any way I could conceivably communicate the beauty of Alexandre Desplat's musical score, from his original pieces to his arrangements of John Williams' iconic theme tune.

I could never, at my current level of writing, be able to describe to you, my readers, how well David Yates (director of the series since Order of the Phoenix) understands the Potter verse, or how well he brings author J.K. Rowling's vision to the screen.

And I definitely know that an amateur writer such as myself can't illustrate to you just how satisfying Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 is. I couldn't imagine a better finale for this long-running series.

No, I definitely couldn't bring such things to words. I am too feeble, and the movie is too great.

But I can say this: go see this movie. You'll be glad you did. And you'll regret it if you don't. Perhaps you could write a better review than this one. Perhaps you'll be good enough to be able to describe how genius it is.

Awesome
